I went along to the 20th Sheffield Children’s Book Awards today. It was held at the City Hall, which was packed with excitable kids. It’s the kids themselves that decide the winners. Last night I attended the Exposed Awards, which in a nutshell, is Exposed Magazine’s annual pat on the back for Sheffield’s creme de la creme. Hosted by Hallam FM’s Kam Kelly and Becky Hayes, it came complete with breakdancing clowns, candyfloss and a freaky pink emu (or was it a llama?).
